Welcome to my basket blog!

I'm Gin and I am a basket maker and I love it. Weaving baskets has been an education, a passion and my income stream since 1981. 

In the next phase of our lives my husband, Don and I will be able to spend time traveling to visit museums with basket collections and being Grammy and Grampy. Sitting still will have to wait.......

Now I am hoping to share my 35 years of basket making experience with those who wish to weave for fun, to produce handmade gifts or work on baskets as a Cash Crop. All are possible, for those 8-80 with some simple tools and techniques.

I will post a new basket pattern the beginning of every month and do my best to help you get through the process with a basket that we can post on this site.
